केरल के तिरुवल्ला की रहने वाली मालविका जी नायर ने UPSC सिविल सेवा परीक्षा 2024 में ऑल इंडिया 45वीं रैंक हासिल कर एक इतिहास रच दिया। लेकिन यह सफलता किसी सामान्य परिश्रम का परिणाम नहीं, बल्कि एक असाधारण जज्बे का प्रतीक है।
While most aspirants dedicate years solely to preparation, Malavika appeared for UPSC Mains just 17 days after giving birth to her son. This wasn’t just an exam for her – it was a test of willpower, motherhood, and endurance.

मालविका ने 3 सितंबर 2024 को अपने बेटे ‘आदिसेश’ को जन्म दिया और 20 सितंबर को UPSC Mains लिखा। परीक्षा की तैयारी नवजात की देखभाल के साथ कोई आसान कार्य नहीं था, लेकिन उनके माता-पिता, पति और बहन ने मिलकर उन्हें मानसिक और भावनात्मक समर्थन दिया।
Her parents would even bring the baby to the exam center so she could breastfeed between breaks — a testimony of how a family’s support can move mountains.
एक अफसर की यात्रा: 6 प्रयासों की कहानी
The path to success isn’t always straight – sometimes it’s a long, winding road.
- मालविका 2020 बैच की IRS अधिकारी हैं और वर्तमान में कोच्चि में डिप्टी कमिश्नर (इनकम टैक्स) के पद पर कार्यरत हैं।
- उन्होंने इससे पहले 2019 में 118वीं, और 2022 में 172वीं रैंक प्राप्त की थी।
- यह उनका छठा और अंतिम प्रयास था – और इस बार उन्होंने न सिर्फ परीक्षा पास की, बल्कि पूरे देश को प्रेरणा भी दी।
- उनके पति डॉ. एम. नंदगोपन, 2022 बैच के IPS अधिकारी हैं।
When the result came, the couple was together in Hyderabad. Soon after, they reached their home in Tiruvalla to celebrate with family.

मालविका ने कहा:
“मेन्स परीक्षा मेरे लिए एक युद्ध जैसी थी। नवजात के साथ पढ़ाई और उत्तर लिखना, दोनों ही बहुत चुनौतीपूर्ण थे। पर मेरे परिवार ने मेरी पूरी मदद की।”
Even during the interview round, her 4-month-old son traveled with her to Delhi. Her story isn’t merely about a rank. It’s about redefining what is possible for women everywhere.
